Subnautica

You play as someone who is the lone survivor of a crashed ship in a planet. Your primary objectives are to manage your survival by gathering resources, build habitats, and figuring out why your ship was shot down while also trying to escape the planet.

Exploring:
The highlight of the game. You have the freedom to explore anywhere you want, whether its near the surface, or in the deep waters. However, going deeper comes with its own risk, you just need to be prepared for that.

Gathering Resources:

Crucial for any survival game to help you keep going. You can unlock new equipment, utilities etc. Different kind of resources are scattered everywhere.

Building a base:
You can build a safe space for yourself, storage containers, vehicles, etc.

Figuring out where to go: There’s a goal and a story. The game doesnt hold your hand. You will figure things out by just exploring and going deeper.

The sense of discovery. Only a few games managed to capture that for me. Like outer wilds and tunic. Just discovering one thing makes you want to explore every inch of the map.

The graphics and atmosphere were top notch. I did not think this game would be a bit scary and there are times where it kept me on edge. However the more i played, i got used to it pretty quick

I was surprised to how much story there was in this game. I’ve played many survival games and i did not think this would be this deep. It was a welcome surprise.

I did find the game to be a bit grindy but every other survival games is kind of like this lol.
