“A Surprisingly Creepy, but Fun Card Game That Is a Must Play”
// About the game
You start in a Cabin and forced to play a card game with a stranger and you get the ability to slightly explore the area in certain occasions.
I dont want to say much to avoid spoilers. However, the setting starts creepy but then expands to something even more.
// Gameplay
For the most part its more a roguelike + card game. With branching paths to build out your deck. On top of that, there are boss fights and heavy story elements that are very interesting and keeps you hooked.
There can be dialog at times between you and others that further progress the story of the game.
// My take
I never understood what the hype about with this game until i actually played it.
I’m not a big fan of deck building games. However, Inscryption immediately grabbed me because of its setting and story. I never knew it was that deep and only wished i played it waaaay earlier when it came out.
// Audience
Deckbuilding game lovers, people who just want an interesting story, people who enjoy mystery and horror elements.
