What's the game?
You play as Hornet, who has been captured and taken to a new kingdom called Pharloom. The tone is similar to Hollow Knight but Pharloom has its own identity, its brighter and more alive in some areas while still having that eerie atmosphere the series is known for.
Gameplay
What you'll actually do
Its still a metroidvania at its core. You explore interconnected areas, unlock new abilities, fight bosses, and find secrets. But Hornet plays very differently from the Knight. Shes faster, more acrobatic, and the combat is built around speed and mobility.
The platforming is a big step up from the first game. The movement feels so much smoother and more fluid.
My take
Why I keep thinking about it
If you played the first Hollow Knight you know how tight that game already was. Somehow Silksong made it even better. The combat and platforming are so smooth.
I am a sucker for exploring, silksong delivered in this area. I spent hours just running around in every corner so i dont miss anything.
